Top Reads Of The WeekAttention: Cabin Fever

For those who have or are living in countries where there are long and cold winter days, you should be familiar with the term ‘Cabin Fever’ or ‘Seasonal Affective Disorder’ where one will spend long periods of their time cooped up at a certain location with not many activities to do. But now, with the whole epoch of the new normal and work-from-home (WFH), many are experiencing symptoms of cabin fever, from young children to working professionals!

If this is the first time you’ve heard of it, the best example of a situation explained in a movie is Stanley Kubrick’s phenomenal horror flick, The Shining. But hopefully, none of us will experience it to that extent of course.

And even when we head outside for a meeting or to have catch-up lunch and drinks with friends, social distancing rules are still in order, contributing to the burden at the back of our minds.

So, what are the symptoms of this cabin fever we are discussing, and how can we cope with it? Read on to find out more.
