We are in an era where women’s voices are heard, louder than ever before. Especially in the working industry where more women are taking on executive positions, a status historically dominated by men. There is still much to be done when it comes to gender equality in the workplace but with the opportunities presented today, women are proving their potential to be as good, if not better, than men when it comes to the ever-evolving professional world.

The Science of Women’s Leadership | Alexis Kanda-Olmstead | TEDxCSU
Women are no doubt natural leaders, so how can we implement it more in the workforce and fully utilize it where it matters? In this Ted Talk session, Alexis Kanda-Olmstead beautifully structures analogies and life experiences on how women are underrepresented as leaders. The thing that jumps out and made me realize when I was watching this video is, women fear leadership. Women are afraid to stand out in a male-dominant world and take that lead.
Alas! From my personal experience, women shouldn’t be afraid. It might be a tough world out there with all the stereotyping and what not but take the plunge. And you will be surprised at the outcome, I promise you that. This is not a male versus female agenda or anything of that sort. This is a call to every woman out there, that a great leader lies in each and every single one of you. Have a warm beverage and enjoy this video. I hope it inspires you as much as it did for me.
