Think equal, build smart, innovate for change – IWD2019

THINK EQUAL, BUILD SMART, INNOVATE FOR CHANGE

This year’s International Women’s Day #IWD2019 celebrates the theme “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change”. In the light of rapidly evolving technology, we see unprecedented opportunities for innovation. However, trends indicate a “growing gender digital divide and women are under-represented in the field of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and design.”

“From mobile banking to artificial intelligence and the internet of things, it is vital that women’s ideas and experiences equally influence the design and implementation of the innovations that shape our future societies.”

#BALANCEFORBETTER

Let’s celebrate with #BalanceForBetter a gender-balanced working world. For instance, research from McKinsey shows that firms with a higher number of women in top management see a financial performance benefit of up to 15% over the industry median. This is one of many indicators that balance is not a women’s issue but a business issue.

With this purpose in mind, I selected for you articles about how to #BalanceForBetter as a corporation, manager or employee.
