Headquartered in Hong Kong, our client is a reputable ship management company. We are currently partnering them to look for a Technical Purchaser.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will work closely with Superintendents for supply of vessels' stores and spare parts. You will handle purchasing activities as well as arranging for surveys and inspections for vessels. You will send enquiry/requisitions to suppliers for quotations, follow up with quotations and liaise with vessels on any information required for requisitions. The candidate is expected to prepare purchase and delivery orders and liaise with agents and ships for supply of spare parts and stores to vessels at the ports.
To be successful in this role, you should have a Diploma in Logistics Management and at least 3-4 years of relevant experience preferably within the ship management industry. The ideal candidate is meticulous, proactive and has good multi-tasking skills. You are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
